Polenta is an ancient dish of Italian origin made out of yellow maize or buckwheat. It is usually a side dish to a main dish. It can be served as porridge or, when cooled, it can be fried, grilled, and baked.

To cook polenta is as easy as adding it to boiling water. Either you wish to serve it as hot porridge or a grilled load, it is a great side dish to “ossobuco alla milanese”.
